Another Sweat Fest

Turkey and Europe are frying in record high temperatures. You have to think, is this climate change? The scientists say it is and we need to reduce carbon emissions. When I was hiking in the mountains of Turkey the temperatures reached as high as 38 degrees C = 100.4 F. Climbing in the heat of the day, the water flows through you and you are exhausted after a few hours. Still you press on, anticipating the thrill of finding something new. At times you are exhilarated with what you discover, but at other times you find nothing. Yet, the disappointment does not last long. The views from the top are wonderful and the breeze is a nice respite from the sweat fest. There’s nothing like a mountaintop.
